lyrics
And my eyes, they were glossy
In my mind, where you lost me
And I tried to walk away, and I tried to walk away
From the clues
I was drivin’ by today, I was drivin’ by today
Feelin’ blue
Camera’s were rollin’
Look what we started
Thought we were growin’
Look at the garden
So ashame
Who woulda knew
I didn’t deserve it
I’m so imperfect
Yes you were marvelous
Dearly departed
His name
Who are you?
Dexter
Here’s my coat
I’ll walk in the rain
(In the wild for many miles in pain)
(Let it fall until you call my name)
Dexter
Here’s my coat
I’ll walk in the rain
(Wait around to figure out my sins)
(Still down until the end my friend)
Dexter
Here’s my coat
I’ll walk in the rain
Here’s my coat
I’ll walk in the rain
(I KNEW YOU)
For the gold we knew we had
For the bruises we both shared
For the times I leaned on you, for the times you leaned on me
So I don’t care if or how you betrayed me for less than a bus ride fair
See my love is not set up like that so for you I always care
Sometimes, I still wanna rage
Then again, I’m feelin’ your pain
We always said we would win
And for me, that hasn’t changed
Here’s my coat, here’s my coat, I’ll walk in rain
Dexter
Here’s my coat
I’ll walk in the rain
(In the wild for many miles in pain)
(Let it fall until you call my name)
Dexter
Here’s my coat
I’ll walk in the rain
(Wait around to figure out my sins)
(Still down until the end my friend)
Dexter
Here’s my coat
I’ll walk in the rain
Here’s my coat
I’ll walk in the rain
(I KNEW YOU)

Alvvays has always been great, but with this album they took it to the next level. Every one of these songs is lodged in my brain now, permanently (in a good way). s. moxley

Takes me back to my high school classroom during the days of binging Inio Asano's old manga scanlations before anything was licensed. At that time, I was discovering many kinds of Asian shoegaze, but I've never heard anything like this. Makes me think of Pasteboard, Supecar, and Midnight Pingpong a bit, and it's funny bc the first two I listen have blue album covers too. Lu
Twinkling, glitched-out ambience punctuated by bubbling beats: think Stereolab's foundation if they were less European and more Californian. Bandcamp New & Notable Jul 6, 2016
