How bout’ a shroom, how bout’ a LSD
Creative juices flowin’ cravin’ overpeak
in the room, indica sateev’ set you free
Ol’ Mary Jane make you feel the chemistry
I said soon, later you gon’ fall in love wit’ me
Distracting your subconscious tryna flip the foolery
I’m like who, sellin’ all these drugs in the street
Moral of the story I’m right where I need to be
Whatever happens, it’s gon’ happen
Runnin’ way from my action
Baseball that’s big cappin’
Takin’ drugs to relax it
Then become dependent
And any type of suspension
have you thinkin’, a, bout’ lynchin’
On ya knees repentin’
Thankin’ god for your sinnin’
Prolly takin’ that magic
From very mystical women
Even Mystical did it
And still I gotta forgive him
love to my brothers
sisters know it’s a given
If the Earth will bloom it
Then I will do it
Don’t misconstrue it
Mother Nature’s student
I’m okay with that, I’m okay with that
But won’t wait, run away with that
text God, he text me back like
How bout’ a shroom, how bout’ a LSD
Creative juices flowin’ cravin’ overpeak
in the room, indica sateev’ set you free
Ol’ Mary Jane make you feel the chemistry
I said soon, later you gon’ fall in love wit’ me
Distracting your subconscious tryna flip the foolery
I’m like who, sellin’ all these drugs in the street
Moral of the story I’m right where I need to be
Portabella shrooms can flip the foolery
Any plant that blooms can flip the foolery
Take off to the moons can flip the foolery
High off of you can make a newer me

Alvvays has always been great, but with this album they took it to the next level. Every one of these songs is lodged in my brain now, permanently (in a good way). s. moxley

Takes me back to my high school classroom during the days of binging Inio Asano's old manga scanlations before anything was licensed. At that time, I was discovering many kinds of Asian shoegaze, but I've never heard anything like this. Makes me think of Pasteboard, Supecar, and Midnight Pingpong a bit, and it's funny bc the first two I listen have blue album covers too. Lu
Twinkling, glitched-out ambience punctuated by bubbling beats: think Stereolab's foundation if they were less European and more Californian. Bandcamp New & Notable Jul 6, 2016
